Giovanni Robinson Sr., Ph.D.

Dr. Giovanni Robinson Sr. and Teresa Robinson are the founders of Disciples of Christ Bible College and Seminary. While attending seminary school, Dr. Robinson was inspired by the Holy Spirit to start a Bible College and Seminary school, where young Christian men and women could receive an affordable, accredited, and quality Christian education.  Dr. Giovanni and Teresa Robinson have always believed that a Christian education should be affordable and attainable to all.  Dr. Robinson started his ministerial career over 28 years ago as a worship leader and ordained Deacon in 1993 in Knoxville, TN at the “True House of God”, under Bishop Bobby Jean Moore. While under Bishop Moore, he served as her interim Armor Bearer, taught Sunday school, drove the church van for the church transportation ministry, conducted community outreach and assisted the Bishop with the churches radio broadcast ministry, “God’s Gospel Hour” which also included operating and answering the prayer-line and receiving on the air prayer requests.

In 1996, Dr. Robinson decided to serve his country and enlist into the United States Army and later become a Military Police.  While in the Army he continued his ministerial career and would later earn the nick-named of “The Preacher”.  In 1998, because of Dr. Robinson’s calling and ministry background experience, he was chosen by his Battalion Chaplin to serve as the Unit’s first ever Youth Minister, under their Unit Ministry Team (UMT), in Fort Hood, TX.  While serving in the UMT, Dr. Robinson was responsible for delivering small sermonettes to groups of Soldiers about salvation and the love of Jesus Christ.  Dr. Robinson also assisted the Chaplain with the Holy Sacraments, receiving prayer requests, along with praying for Soldiers and leaders within the unit.  Throughout his 20 years of service in the U.S Army, Dr. Robinson would go on to serve as either a Youth Leader or Youth Minister at a variety of duty stations and in a variety of places, to include the combat zone. Dr. Robinson provided daily leadership, community outreach ministry and counseling, on and off the battlefield.

In 2014 while serving at World Outreach Worship Center (W.O.W.C), in Newport News, VA under Senior Pastor Russell Evenson, Dr. Robinson served on the church Risk Management Ministry Team, Hospitality Ministry and conducted outreach ministry at the Menchville House in Newport News. This ministry cared for, housed, and educated women of domestic violence and abuse.  Dr. Robinson also served as Board of Director for the Menchville House as well. In 2016, Dr. Robinson moved to Florida and served as one of the Christian Youth Leaders at Fort Myers Christian Outreach Center (FMCOC), under Senior Pastor Lynn Blanco and Assistant Pastor William Patrick Miller Jr. This ministry catered to the community and church youth.  In 2017, Dr. Robinson would later go on to assist Overseer William Patrick Miller Jr., Senior Pastor of Nations Choice Worship Center-Cape Coral in launching another branch of his church in Cape Coral, FL.  While there, Dr. Robinson would serve as Assistant Pastor to Overseer William Patrick Miller Jr.  

In 2018 to 2020, Dr. Robinson would go on to be the Senior Pastor of One In Christ Community Church (OIC), a blessed assignment of the Lord. This church was founded by Elder Tanya Johnson-Duclona and Deacon Fortilus Duclona and has one of the largest Outreach Ministries in Lee County, FL (We Care Outreach Ministry Inc). In 2019, Dr. Robinson completed Seminary school and earned his Ph.D. in Theology. In the same year he would become a volunteer Chaplin for a local Company (Protective Barriers) serving close to 100 employees and family members. In 2019, Dr. Robinson would be consecrated to the Episcopal office of Bishop for Divine Covenant Fellowship of Churches, under the Presiding Prelate Bishop Christopher M. Holloway Sr., where he would serve has the first Diocesan Bishop of Florida for that organization. In 2021, Bishop Robinson would later be enthroned as an Archbishop for the Worldwide Anglican Episcopal Communion and Ecumenical Ministry under Archbishop Christine Johnson, where he serves as the Presiding Primate of Midwest America and Metropolitan Archbishop for the State of Florida.  

As an effective communicator of God’s Word, Dr. Robinson is widely known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of the Scripture to their everyday lives. Many lives have been touched by this phenomenal leader’s message of hope, love and inspiration. He has earned the reputation of being a gifted teacher and preacher of the Bible. Dr. Robinson is an anointed man of God and a visionary who is committed to excellence in ministry and the teaching of God’s word.
